Over the last week or so I have been trying to integrate Appcelerator with Parse based on client’s recommendation; it does not work in a supported manner so I have moved on until Parse can address the issue.
In the meantime if you are looking for alternatives, I still highly recommend Appcelerator Cloud Services it is the number one choice we have used with most of our clients and it has met all of our requirements. But we would be doing our clients a disservice if we were not aware of alternatives so below I have listed two alternatives that we have used in the past with success and with companies that appear to be committed to supporting Appcelerator and there 450,000+ developer community
Kinvey is an old friend that I have used for internal projects in the past, they have come a long way with the integration of additional components focused on enterprise integration. They also work with Appcelerator “out of the box” have a seperate section in their website supporting Titanium
Here is some work I have started using StackMob https://github.com/aaronksaunders/ti_stackmob_new
StackMob also has great documentation and an excellent tutorial here on getting started with StackMob, HTML5 and Backbone
The code below is how I solved my Parse problem using Kinvey
