Get your web/mobile project built for $15K while providing a great learning opportunity for college students
As part of our commitment to tech inclusivity and education, Clearly Innovative and Luma Lab will be hiring a talented and diverse group of apprentice developers for Luma Lab’s inaugural project-based MVP apprenticeship program. Our apprentices are developers in college looking to increase their technical skills and gain experience with client-specific work. Using lean startup principles, apprentices in the program will rapidly develop MVP (minimum viable product) websites, mobile applications or digital prototypes for local startups and entrepreneurs. Organizations may apply for their web or mobile product to be built (at a discounted rate) by our apprentices by filling out the application form below. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, June 30, 2016.
Because we are focusing on MVP solutions, each project selected will be capped at a four-week development period and the price will be capped at 15,000.00 dollars
Clearly Innovative will provide technical architecture oversight and software management for each project.
Our apprentices will gain valuable experience building solutions for clients, get experience with project milestones, client interaction and applying technical skills to real projects. This would be a paid internship for the students, at Clearly Innovative Inc, we pay our interns because we understand that not everyone can afford to go all summer without a check.

What is an MVP?
In product development, the minimum viable product (MVP) is a product which has just enough features to gather validated learning about the product and its continued development. Gathering insights from an MVP is often less expensive than using a product with more features which increase costs and risk in the case where the product fails, for example due to incorrect assumptions.

What are the costs associated with this program?
Compensation for the apprentices and support and mentorship provided by the Clearly Innovative development staff. Each selected project will be completed at a discounted rate not to exceed $15K.
What kind of projects can you build?
Web or mobile applications and/or responsive websites.
How are the apprentices involved in the project?
Apprentices will be managed by Clearly Innovative and Luma Lab staff to develop the website or application. They will work during regular business hours alongside our development team.
How many projects will Clearly Innovative and Luma Lab accept? It will be based on the number of submissions. However, we anticipate selecting 3-5 projects.
How long will the development take for each project? Because we are focusing on MVP solutions, each project selected will be capped at a four-week development period.

What is the selection process? Projects will be selected based on applicants’ project scope and feature complexity. Clearly Innovative and Luma Lab will interview semi finalist applicants and make a final selection following the interview period.
